Studying abroad in Europe, getting to know a different academic culture and a new city – this is offered by the European Union's Erasmus+ funding program.

The Erasmus Office of the Faculty of Humanities supports teaching staff and students of the faculty in all organisational matters relating to a stay abroad at a European partner university as well as international guest students during their stay at University of Hamburg.

Internship funding by Erasmus+

As part of the Erasmus+ internship, students can apply for funding for an internship abroad in the Erasmus region in order to gain intercultural skills and practical experience on the international job market.

Studying as a Free Mover

Students who do not wish to study at the University of Hamburg or at a university abroad on the basis of an exchange or scholarship program, but rather independently, can apply as a free mover.

    You can test your language level at the Language Center during the lecture period and receive a language certificate.
