Erasmus+ program
Studying abroad in Europe, getting to know a different academic culture and a new city – this is made possible through the European Union's Erasmus+ funding program. The Erasmus+ program is a great opportunity to gain an exciting and valuable experience abroad by studying or doing an internship in Europe. Over 400,000 students from Germany have taken advantage of this opportunity so far, and around 500 students from the University of Hamburg go abroad on this program every year. The most important benefits offered by the program are:
- exemption from tuition fee at the host university
- financial support in the form of a monthly grant
- administrative support from the home and host universities
- recognition of academic achievements regulated by Learning Agreements
- special support for students with accompanying children and students with special needs
Studying abroad with Erasmus+
We recommend that all students at our faculty plan one or two semesters abroad at one of our numerous Erasmus+ partner universities. The Erasmus+ funding program supports study visits to our partner universities in Europe by waiving tuition fees, providing a financial grant and recognizing academic achievements in accordance with the Learning Agreement.
