Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Humanities (EKGW)
The consideration of ethical issues in research projects is seen as increasingly important. Many journals and third-party funding bodies (e.g. EU, DFG) recommend or require ethical reflection or prior examination in research involving human subjects.
The Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Humanities (EKGW) advises researchers of the Faculty of Humanities on ethical issues relating to their research projects. Ethical advice is provided exclusively upon request and on a voluntary basis. On request, votes can be formed that are also suitable for forwarding to third-party funding bodies or journals. The specific ethical guidelines of the respective professional societies are regarded as the basis for ethical advice.
If you wish to submit an application for ethical advice, please read the guidelines first. You can then send your application to one of the two chairpersons (please send all required documents in one PDF by e-mail).
