Head Office for Academic Affairs
The Head Office for Academic Affairs is responsible for organizing studies and teaching in all of the faculty’s degree programs.
In accordance with the faculty’s bylaws, the 7 departments are responsible for subject-related duties in academic affairs, as well as for planning curricula, rooms, and examinations. To do so, the departments have set up academic offices.
The acting academic dean is also the ombudsperson if there are complaints about examinations within the faculty (pursuant to Section 66 subsection 3 of the Hamburg higher education act [Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG]).
