Bachelor's degree programs

Our Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree programs offer a flexible curricular structure consisting of a major and minor subject, which enables individual combinations of 37 major subjects and over 50 minor subjects in the humanities. In addition, numerous minor subjects from the natural sciences, economics and social sciences can be chosen.
The major subject Protestant Theology can be studied with the degrees Diplom, Magister or ecclesiastical examination.

Our 37 Master's programs leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree deepen the skills acquired in the Bachelor's degree and are oriented towards the Faculty's central research topics. Intensive supervision enables students to develop their own academic questions.
The Master's degree course in Sign Language Interpreting is now offered as the first fully-fledged part-time part-time degree course.

The Faculty of Humanities educates future teachers in 13 subjects in the humanities. The Faculty of Education teaches the educational science and subject didactics content. The teacher training courses are completed with the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and subsequently with the Master of Education (M.Ed.). Together with the teacher training (Referendariat), they qualify students to become teachers at the relevant type of school.
