During your stay
During your Erasmus+ stay you will have numerous opportunities to learn, make new friends and discover the culture of your host country. On this page, we provide you with information about the necessary organisational steps so that you can get the most out of your time abroad.
Have the first part of your Confirmation of Stay signed by your Erasmus+ coordinator at the host university immediately after your arrival. Upload the signed document as a scan to Mobility Online.
Only when you uploaded the following documents in Mobility Online:
- confirmation of Stay - Part 1
- digital Learning Agreement - Part 1
- current semester certificate from STiNE (as proof of your continued enrollment at UHH)
the first installment of your Erasmus+ funding (70% of the total funding amount) can be transferred to you. For administrative reasons, it will take approx. 2-3 weeks until you receive the funding to your account.
Before departure, have the last day of your academic stay (last day of classes, last examination date, etc.) at the host university signed on the bottom section of your Confirmation of Stay - Part 2 and upload the document then to Mobility Online.
If there are any course changes or changes to the ECTS after your arrival at the host university, a digital Learning Agreement – Part 2 (“Changes to the Learning Agreement”) must be submitted. Proceed as follows:
- In Mobility Online, click on the option “Request changes to the Learning Agreement” in your workflow under “During your stay”.
- You can then complete the digital Learning Agreement - Part 2 in Mobility Online.
- The digital Learning Agreement – Part 2 will then be sent via Mobility Online to your subject-specific Erasmus+ coordinator at UHH and then to the partner university for signature.
Please also discuss your course changes in advance with your subject-specific Erasmus+ coordinator at UHH or the relevant (sub-)subject study coordinator or, if applicable, your academic office!
Despite any course changes, you must still successfully complete at least 24-30 ECTS per semester (or 15 ECTS per trimester); this must be proven later through the Transcript of Records issued by your host university following your mobility.
The digital Learning Agreement - Part 2 can be submitted up to 5 weeks after the start of the stay.
To extend your stay abroad, please complete the extension application in good time and upload it – already signed by the responsible person at the host university – along with a new Learning Agreement (Part 2) for the additional semester to Mobility Online.
Please also inform the Erasmus Office of the Faculty of Humanities via email (erasmus.gw"AT"uni-hamburg.de) as soon as you have uploaded the extension application.
Please note:
- Applications must be submitted no later than one month before the end of the originally planned mobility.
- An extension cannot be guaranteed.
- An extension from the summer semester to the winter semester is only possible by reapplying via Mobility Online (by January 31), as it is a new academic year from the winter semester onwards and therefore a new selection procedure.
