Funding opportunities
The Faculty of Humanities offers various options for financial support for projects related to gender equality issues. The Faculty of Humanities allocates a fixed amount from its budget for the promotion of gender equality (gender equality fund) and a portion of its performance-related funds (LOMI) for the implementation of gender equality guidelines in the departments and institutes.
Funding opportunities offered by the Faculty of Humanities
The equality promotion fund of the Faculty can be used to finance measures to promote equality and work-life balance, such as hiring student assistants for employees with small children. The equal opportunities officer decides on the use of the equality promotion fund together with his or her representatives. Please submit funding requests to the Faculty's equal opportunities officer.
The Faculty provides a total of €25,000 per fiscal year from performance-related funds (LOMI) for the departments. The Faculty's Equal Opportunities Officer, together with the Dean, decides on the criteria for the distribution and allocation of funds to the individual departments. The equal opportunities officers of the respective departments decide on the approval of applications for these funds in consultation with the spokesperson. Please submit funding requests to the equal opportunities officer of your department. This fund can be used to support projects on general equality issues in studies, teaching, and research, as well as projects aimed at reducing gender-based discrimination. Eligible projects include workshops, conferences, and exhibitions on gender and diversity issues, as well as travel grants for early-career female researchers employed in the respective department who can demonstrate that they will be presenting their own research results (lecture or poster) at a scientific conference.
