Digital Humanities Consultation Hours
Every first Monday of the month at 10 a.m., we offer a non-binding consultation hour on individual topics related to digital humanities (DH).
- Do you need advice on creating a DH concept for a project?
- Do you want to carry out a digital project and want to take contemporary standards and best practices into account?
- Are you looking for the right digital method and tools for your scientific question and research topic?
- Do you want to prepare for the digital transformation of your discipline and are looking for advice on networking and further training opportunities?
We are happy to advise you on all these questions and concerns. We are also happy to advise on doctoral or student theses. Please fill out the questionnaire (pdf) in advance as far as possible and send it to us before your appointment so that we can advise you in the best possible way.
This service is aimed at all members of the Faculty of Humanities who work with or want to experiment with digital humanities methods: students, research assistants, university lecturers, developers, infrastructure staff, library staff, etc.

Monday mornings don't suit you? Feel free to contact us at dh-sprechstunde.gw"AT"uni-hamburg.de to arrange an individual appointment. We usually conduct consultations via Zoom.
Please note:
If you are planning to apply for external funding for a project that involves the use of digital research methods, please be sure to contact us at an early stage (i.e., several months before you plan to submit your application). Only with sufficient lead time can we work with you to design your project from a digital perspective, rather than adding a digital layer to it after the fact.
