Digital Humanities Lab
The Digital Humanities Lab (DH Lab, Library of Humanities, VMP 6, C2003) is an interdisciplinary networking platform in the field of Digital Humanities at the University of Hamburg. Colleagues from different disciplines who work with digital methods and processes on culturally relevant objects discuss their project designs from the field of digital humanities with each other and with representatives from computer science in the DH Lab. In addition, there are presentations on central infrastructures at the University of Hamburg and in the University's environment that support work with digital methods and objects (research data repositories, digital services of the SUB, etc.). The DH-Lab is associated with the Hub of Computing and Data Science (HCDS) as a cross-disciplinary lab. You can find out more about the Cross-Disciplinary Labs on the HCDS website.
DH Lab@Philturm
Since the end of 2023, we have set up the Lab as an open workshop zone in the Library of Humanities in the Philturm (2nd floor, room C2003), which offers space for discussions, readings and collaborative work. Here you will also find a reference collection of DH literature and QR codes to the most relevant digital journals in the Digital Humanities. We cordially invite all students and researchers who are interested in questions, exchange and workshops on the topic of digitality in the humanities to drop by.
If you are interested in the activities and events of the DH Lab, would like to be added to the mailing list or our OpenOlat room, please drop by in C2003 or send an e-mail to Prof. Dr. Julia Nantke and Prof. Dr. Heike Zinsmeister.
