Record presentations for asynchronus events with OBS

The Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free program that can be used to record your own computer screen, webcam and microphone.

This is particularly useful for asynchronous events where you want to record your lecture and PowerPoint presentation and share it with students. The program uses microphone access for this - ideally an external microphone for optimum sound quality.
