Notification of externally funded projects
At the time of application
According to the Universität Hamburg’s bylaws on external funding (Drittmittelsatzung), a notification of an externally funded project (pdf) must be submitted during the planning phase of your third-party funded project, at the latest when the application is submitted. This applies to all "externally" funded projects regardless of the grant amount. The external-funding notification must be signed by the project manager and the departmental spokesperson and submitted to the Dean's Office. Please send your external-funding notification by e-mail to Zsuzsa Becker, who signs it on behalf of the Faculty management. The external-funding notification is for information purposes and is required in the department for spatial planning, etc.
If you require confirmation from your employer, please submit the pre-filled form to the Dean's Office along with the external-funding notification. Both will then be forwarded to the Application Advising, who will forward it to the Department of Human Resources for signing, then send it back to you. Please, remember to allow sufficient time to ensure that the application deadline can still be met. For applicants without an active employment relationship with UHH, a detailed CV or a statement on employment periods (pdf) is also required.
After approval
In case of approval of your project, a new external-funding notification is required in addition to the notice of approval. After signature by the departmental spokesperson, please send to Zsuzsa Becker for signature on behalf of the faculty manager. It is essential to inform the department about the specific room and IT requirements.
