Call for Participation: Day of OCR on January 22, 2025From 10 am to 6 pm at DH-Lab@Philturm

The University of Hamburg and the Hamburg State and University Library Carl von Ossietzky will be hosting a workshop on Automated Text Recognition (OCR/HTR) at the DH-Lab@Philturm on January 22, 2025. Submission deadline: December 2, 2024.
This event aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in Hamburg to share their insights and developments in the field and provide a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences. We invite all interested parties to share their projects related to the topic, individuals at all levels of ATR knowledge are welcome to attend.
The Day of OCR will take place on January 22, 2025 from 10 am to 4 pm and will conclude with a 90-minute practical introductory workshop on eScriptorium starting at 4:15 pm. Further information on the hands-on workshop with Dr. Jonas Müller-Laackman can be found on our website.
Call for Participation
Presentations should be held in German or English and should not exceed 10 to 20 minutes in length. The topics can address any language as long as they are ATR related, including but not limited to:
- ATR tools (especially eScriptorium),
- applications of ATR in different domains,
- multi-language scripts,
- case studies and practical implementations,
- evaluation metrics and benchmarking,
- network and community building.
We encourage submissions on any topic related to ATR. Please send your application to forschungsdienste"AT"sub.uni-hamburg.de. The submission deadline is December 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
